What is an autism diagnostic evaluation?
An autism diagnostic evaluation is a thorough assessment conducted by a licensed psychologist to determine whether a child meets the diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or a related developmental condition. It uses standardised tools, direct observation, and caregiver interviews to build a complete clinical picture.
Who conducts evaluations at your practice?
All evaluations are completed by a licensed psychologist with specialist expertise in autism and developmental assessment. Every evaluation adheres to current ethical, clinical, and evidence-based standards.
What does the written report include?
The report includes a full developmental history, assessment findings, diagnostic conclusions, clinical impressions, and evidence-based recommendations tailored to your child’s unique profile and needs.
Do we have to use your ABA therapy services after the evaluation?
No. Families always have the right to choose their own ABA provider. We are happy to provide referrals and support you in connecting with the services that best suit your child and family.
How long does the evaluation process take?
The full process from intake to results appointment typically takes two to four weeks depending on scheduling availability and insurance authorisation timelines. Our team works to move as efficiently as possible.
